The light bar is the final touch on a police, rescue or RC truck build. Two LEDs, four animation sequences, fully controllable from the app or via your radio's CH3 channel (suspended). Here's how to mount it.

The hardware

Il vous faut : 1 LED rouge 5mm haute luminosité (10000mcd+) sur G21, 1 LED bleue 5mm haute luminosité (10000mcd+) sur G22, et une résistance 220Ω par LED. La haute luminosité est recommandée car le gyrophare est souvent vu de loin et en plein soleil.

Tip: bicolor red/blue LED

A 5mm bicolor red/blue LED contains two diodes in a single case with 3 pins: red anode (G21), blue anode (G22), common cathode (GND). A single hole in the body, two independent colors. Ideal for a compact light bar.

The 4 available sequences

Alterné : rouge puis bleu en alternance classique. Double flash : deux flashs rapides rouge, puis deux flashs bleu. Rotation : fondu croisé sinusoïdal entre les deux couleurs. Balayage : montée/descente en opposition, effet "scanner". La vitesse et l'intensité sont réglables indépendamment.

CH3 control (suspended for now)

By enabling the CH3 channel in the app, you can turn the light bar on/off with a configurable number of clicks on your radio (e.g. 2 clicks = light bar ON/OFF). No app manipulation needed during the driving session.
